Tour with beautiful landscapes.
This tour initially begins on a forestry lane with a moderate climbin the direction of the Hauser Kaibling. The last 200 m before the transmitter masts are very steep and covered in coarse gravel.A side trip to the Kaiblingalm and the reservoir is rewarded with great scenery. This tour combines nicely with the Gumpental or Kaibling tours.
The ascent is made with the 8-seater gondola lift at Hauser Kaibling:
Note (valid for 2025):Due to construction traffic on Hauser Kaibling, there may be restrictions during weekdays. On weekends, however, the route is fully accessible and perfect for an enjoyable ride.
New MTB Signage in Progress
The installation of the new MTB signage, which also includes updated loop numbers, is currently underway. These changes are already reflected in the new 2025 tour brochure. However, minor discrepancies may still occur on-site due to the presence of the old (green) signage. We kindly ask for your understanding.
The tour starts with a relaxed ascent on the 8-seater gondola up to the Hauser Kaibling. Once at the top, a gravel path with several switchbacks continues uphill. With every meter of elevation gained, the view of the surrounding mountains becomes even more spectacular. After approximately 400 meters of elevation gain, you reach the plateau, where several lift systems converge, and various refreshment options await – perfect for a short break with views of the Dachstein and Stoderzinken.
From here, the route descends slightly to the idyllic reservoir, where the sun terrace of the Kaiblingalm invites you to take a break. Here, you have two options for the descent: either enjoy the long ride directly into the valley or descend only halfway until you reach the signage for the Gumpental circuit. Following this route, you'll loop back to the mountain station – ideal for sporty mountain bikers looking for a varied circuit.
Note (valid for 2025):
Due to construction traffic on Hauser Kaibling, there may be restrictions during weekdays. On weekends, however, the route is fully accessible and perfect for an enjoyable ride.
