The Schladming-Dachstein tourism region consists of 13 municipalities and is one of the five largest tourist destinations in Austria with 3.9 million overnight stays per year. As an outdoor adventure region, the wide range of offers extends from biking and hiking to golfing, skiing and cross-country skiing.

In addition to outdoor activities, the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association places particular emphasis on making regional cuisine a tangible experience for guests and locals. To this end, the ‘Almkulinarik’ project was launched together with the renowned Styrian chef Richard Rauch.

With a varied programme of events, including the ski opening, Schladming-Dachstein offers a year-round spectrum of events that combine sport, regional traditions, enjoyment and entertainment.

To improve the guest experience and offer exclusive benefits for guests and locals, the Schladming-Dachstein ‘FürDich Club’ was launched in 2021. In addition to the goal of creating unforgettable holiday experiences, the association takes responsibility for the locals under the motto ‘Darum Tourismus’.

Managing Director Mathias Schattleitner has headed up the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Board since 2021 and currently has around 50 employees. Andreas Keinprecht has been acting as Chairman of the tourism association since 2021.
